Goals for Music Education

As a classically trained musician, I grew up learning how to read music. These skills were extremely important in shaping my understanding and passion for music. I believe that the fundamentals of note reading must be established in order to progress as a musician. In addition to these skills, I also incorporate contemporary music methods such as learning how to read chord charts and composing through aural training and improvisation. By combining the old and new type of musical training, I hope to inspire and excite students towards a deeper understanding and love for music.

Piano Lessons

I typically begin teaching students at age 7 or older. I have found throughout my 10 years of teaching piano lessons, students who start earlier get frustrated and do not continue with their instrument. All individual lessons are available online or in person.

Individual Piano Lessons

  • $25 for 30 minutes
  • $45 for an hour

Individual lessons are either 30 minutes once a week or 1 hour every two weeks. With younger students I highly recommend the 30 minute option.

Group Piano Lessons– 2 or more students at a time

  • $20 for 30 minutes per child
  • $30 for an hour per child

These lessons are geared towards younger students, with an emphasis on basic music education and establishing fundamentals. Once the student progresses and shows basic understanding, they can move on to the individual lesson.
